Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaThis is a beautiful, sad but realistic portrait. Excellent work. I noticed what fantastically luxurious hair he has. His hands are dirty. It is the cleanliness of the heart that counts. 14 Feb 2008 6:21am lidia from Barcelona, SpainVery interesting and good portrait. It's good to shaw de reality. The hair and the eyes are so nice. Havy live. 14 Feb 2008 8:59am Navin Harish from Mumbai, IndiaBrilliant shot. I like the aluminum teapot that has turned all black. What is in the hands of this boy. I hope he is not doing drugs. 14 Feb 2008 9:33am @Navin Harish: thanku Navine. Elisa from Massachusetts, United Stateswow Hinah... this is an extraordinary shot! kind of sad but part of the real world that sometimes we don't want to see. 14 Feb 2008 3:16pm Chris from South Jersey, United Statesgreat portrait of a subject that is difficult to think or talk about. I know I get spoiled with my expensive toys and wish I had more, but seeing this picture is a good reminder of how there are many in the world that live on far less than we have and need our help. My family sponsors children through World Vision to help rescue children from poverty, but there is always more that I need to do - thank you for the reminder.... 14 Feb 2008 3:31pm @Chris: thanku Chris. Levine from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaThe most impact item in the picture is the kettle burning on fire. Not only that, the dirty feet too. Very strong subject in this picture. The brush in his hand makes me think and wonder, what is he doing or going to do with it. Really nice picture. 14 Feb 2008 3:50pm Barbara from Florida, United StatesI see a handsome young boy who could have a wonderful future if given the opportunity. Powerful message and well devined image. There is too much sadness in this world, those of us who have too much take it for granted. 14 Feb 2008 6:30pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceSuperb shot on a very sensible subject. Excellent job 14 Feb 2008 9:30pm Porcsin from Debrecen, HungaryThis is very sad shot! 17 Feb 2008 12:25am sarosh from Pakistan:') we can see the beauty in this pain honey no? doesnt make it less painful OR less beautiful, but neither of it changes the other. you caught the reflection of the boy's soul in his eyes. i hope they remain this alive thru out his life. sigh. a moment of silence in prayer... 23 Feb 2008 3:44pm |
